John T. Brown, AIA, NCARB, CSI
John Brown, AIA is dedicated to the practice of architecture though exceptional design. This journey started with undergraduate and Graduate studies at Kent State University in Ohio. Upon completion of the Master's program in 2006 with focus on Urban Design, that led to a unique and broad range of project experience in both residential and commercial architecture and projects with construction budgets both large and small. With a strong attention to detail and a love for a wide variety of archetypes, coastal architecture takes pride in not being committed to any particular style of architecture but rather being able to truly adapt to a wide variety of design experiences. Our process and our design approach is very much like all of our clients, different. We stand out by listening to the needs of our clients and using our creative talents coupled with our experience to bring both unique design solutions and client experience. We are compelled to make every project an exciting journey for our clients by providing them with unparalleled service and commitment to ensuring that their projects are a success, leaving them with a true sense of fulfillment with their projects and the path that got them there. We believe in sustainable values and creating architecture that enhances and is complementary to the spaces around it.

Marla's experience working in the engineering field for over 15 years provides her the aptitude to keep us all organized and stay focused. Working with Environmental Design Group, a leader in a multitude of disciplines including Master planning, Civil, Landscape Architecture, Water & Wastewater Engineering, Storm water management, Ecological Services and much more. Marla's attention to detail, great communication, and overall warm personality make her a true asset to our team.

Our
Story
Coastal Architecture was established in June of 2019 with the intent of listening to our clients and providing architectural solutions that exceed their expectations and deliver unique design solutions on time and on budget.

Upon completing undergraduate and graduate study at Kent State University and spending almost a decade working in the aviation market in South Carolina, Mr. Brown has been involved with a multitude of architypes in South West Florida. Specializing in both high-end residential as well as commercial projects, our experience with projects such as mid/high-rise hotels, custom waterfront homes, Religious, Educational, Institutional, Medical and a little bit of everything in between. We enjoy working on a wide variety of project types, meeting new clients and demonstrating how my experiences can add value to your design.
